JAKARTA - Ubisoft officially announced that it would delay the launch of the pre-season kickoff for its free first-person shooter game, XDefiant for certain reasons.

Announced through his post on platform X on Tuesday, October 10, the delay was intended to help XDefiant's development team polish the game's general experience, as well as make changes taking into account player feedback.

"PTS once again demonstrates your appreciation for our fast-paced shooting games, uniquely created maps, destination-based modes, and a list of iconic Faction names. But this has also led to some inconsistencies in the gaming experience we need to address before launching our pre-season. So we have made a difficult decision to postpone XDefiant pre-season," the developer wrote.

However, the studio said it would continue to work on the issue, and test it again to achieve the expected goals.

"The team will continue to work on this problem and test it to ensure we achieve our goal of being the best Arcade shooters in his class," Ubisoft added.

No other details were shared, but they promised to share more information about pre-season and future testing.

"Once again thank you for your support - we worked hard to make something really special and we couldn't have done it without you," the announcement concluded.
