JAKARTA - On Monday night September 25, 2023, crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, known as BitBoy Crypto, found himself in serious trouble when he tried to confront his former business partner, Carlos Diaz, and was broadcast live on the BitBoy YouTube channel.

Armstrong intends to take back his Lamborghini car which is thought to belong to Diaz. BitBoy previously caught the attention of his followers about a live broadcast of a "very special location." In just one hour, he started a live broadcast outside Diaz's house.

At that time, Armstrong accused Diaz of wanting to harm him and link his relationship with the Houston mafia. However, the incident ended suddenly when local police arrived at the location and questioned Armstrong about the weapons. Furthermore, Armstrong was arrested and is currently still in custody.

Not only in the spotlight in the crypto community, this incident also caused mixed reactions. Some of the oblique views consider this event as karma that befell one of the well-known crypto figures involved in the controversy.

Prior to the arrest, Armstrong was already involved in a series of controversies. At the end of August, the entity overseeing the brand "BitBoy Crypto" cut ties with him due to problems related to substance abuse and financial problems affecting employees. Both sides finally agreed to take legal action.

In addition, Armstrong has sought financial support from his followers to cover increasing legal costs. To date, he has raised more than $54,000 (equivalent to IDR 837,969,300) in the form of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA).
