Tinder Introduces Tinder Select, New Subscription Option Worth Seven Million

JAKARTA - Tinder, the world's most popular online dating platform, introduces a new subscription option at a cost of nearly $500 (Rp7.7 million) per month, known as Tinder Select.

"Select is Tinder's exclusive membership that gives you unmatched access to the best of Tinder," the company wrote on its official website, quoted Monday, September 25.

Based on the announcement, with Tinder Select, you get access to unique gains as follows:

Direct Message: You can send a message to someone without having to match first, with a time span of 2 times a week.

Via Queues: People you like will clearly see your profile in the Likes You box, even though they don't subscribe to Tinder Gold or Platinum. Your profile is also prioritized on the Likes You grid for 7 days.

Special Status: Showcase your membership with an exclusive SELECT badge.

PILIH Mode: See and be seen by the most searched Tinder profile, so you can enjoy a more extraordinary connection.

VIP Experience: A membership place is limited to less than 1% users to make sure you receive the most exclusive experience.

In addition, via Tinder Select, you can also hide ads and see the Likes you sent in the last 7 days, via the Tinder app, not the website.

"We know that there are some users who are very involved and active who prioritize more effective and efficient ways of finding connections," said Tinder's head product, Mark Van Ryswyk, citing Bloomberg via Business Insider.

"So we did extensive testing and provided input to this audience over the past few months to develop a completely new offering," he added.

The company also said that users can add Tinder Select membership to Tinder Plus, Gold, or Platinum subscriptions.
