JAKARTA - Commemorating Chrome's 15th year old, Google provides a new look Chrome on desktop and launches some improvements that make it easier, faster, and safer to explore.

In the coming weeks, Chrome will get a new look on desktop. Based on the Material You design language, the search giant has updated the Chrome icon and made a new color palette that complements your tabs and blades more.

This new theme and different colors can help you differentiate your profile, such as an office and personal account, at a glance.

Chrome Web Store Extension

In addition to getting a fresh and modern interface, the Chrome website will feature new extension categories, such as AI-supported extensions and Editor-in-Chief, plus more personalized recommendations.

New Search Features

Recently Google launched a new capability that gives you faster access to information and search tools while you're browsing. You can even embed Google Search side panel into your Toolbar.

In addition, Google is also expanding its generating AI capabilities in Search to your web browsing experience on Chrome on desktop. US users can participate in SGE while browsing' in the Search Lab to test it.

This experiment helps you navigate information on the web better and quickly find what you're looking for on the webpage.

Security Improvement

Seeing the increase in phishing, Google is upgrading the Safe Exploration version so that it can now check on well-known Google sites in real-time.

By shortening the time between identification and threat prevention, Google hopes to see a 25 percent increase in protection from malware and phishing threats. This update will roll out to Chrome in the coming weeks.
