JAKARTA - Google announced that it would soon stop Assistant support for third-party listing and records applications. The company will now prioritize private-owned applications to access the virtual assistant.
"Starting June 20, Google Assistant records and lists will no longer work with non-Google listing apps. You can still access your info on non-Google apps at any time," Google wrote in its community post, quoted Monday, June 5.
Google Assistant is an easy way to quickly create notes and lists. Although Google has not provided a specific reason for the change, it is assumed that this decision is related to the company's focus on its own products and services.
This means that popular list-making apps, including Any.do, AnyList, and Bring, will be affected by this new policy. Users will lose the option to create records or list with the app using Google Assistant.

"We know a lot of our customers rely on AnyList integration with Google Assistant and the disappearance of this feature is frustrating and disappointing," AnyList said in a blog post.
"We continue to communicate with Google and hope to support Google Assistant on Android devices again in the future, but we don't have anything to announce right now," he added.
However, users can still use Google Assistant to create a list or note in the application until June 20, 2023, until the support is terminated.
Instead, they should switch to using the Google Keep app. The company says users can use the records category and Assistant list on Google Takeout to export old lists and records, including from third-party note apps, as reported by Android Central.
However, the list of expenditures created by third-party listing services will not be synchronized to the Google Keep. If users don't like this, they can switch to Amazon Alexa and Siri, which still support third-party integration.
