Conmebol Zone 2026 World Cup Qualification: Darwin Nunez Uruguay Victory Actor

Darwin Nunez scored a brace during Uruguay Bolivia in the 2026 Conmebol Zone World Cup Qualification (Instagram/@aufoficial).

JAKARTA - Uruguay hosted Bolivia in the sixth match of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Zone Conmebol at the Centenario Stadium on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 morning WIB.

Darwin Nunez became an important actor in Uruguay's victory against Bolivia with a score of 3-0. The Liverpool player scored a brace.

La Celeste, nicknamed Uruguay, appears dominating at home. They recorded 70 percent possession and produced 18 shots, four of which were on target.

The visitors' camp appeared inferior. They only had four chances, but none of them headed right into the goal.

Uruguay immediately pressed in the early 10 minutes. Rodrigo Bentancur fired a shot from outside the penalty box, but it was still soaring.

Two minutes later Ronald Araujo made a chance. However, his header after taking advantage of a corner is still wide.

Every now and then, Bolivia gets out of pressure and creates several chances. However, none of them managed to reduce the gap.

La Celeste actually moved back in the 70th minute. Again Nunez contributed goals for his team.

Starting from Federico Valverde's cross on the right side of the attack, Nicolas de la Cruz welcomed a header directed at Nunez.

Darwin Nunez, who was already in the goal mouth without guard, easily threw the ball into Bolivia's goal.

The 3-0 score for Uruguay lasted the game over. An additional three points brought La Celeste to shift Argentina from the top of the standings temporarily.

Argentina itself is playing a tough match against Brazil.
