Antoine Griezmann Antara At Bertletico Madrid Wins 3-1 Over Villarreal, Becomes The Second Most Goalprinter

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann scored in Madrid's 3-1 win over Villarreal in La Liga on Sunday night, November 12.

The Frenchman, has been outstanding throughout the season. He scored a very important second goal at the Cryptas Metropolitano Stadium after Villarreal took the lead through Spanish striker Gerard Moreno.

Griezmann is now Atmartico's second-highest goalscorer of all time. He scored his 169th goal for the club.

Samuel Lino scored Atmartico's third goal in stoppage time to ensure victory against Villarreal, who sacked head coach Pacheta this week.

When asked by Movistar+ after a game about Diego Simeone's new deal at the club, Griezmann replied: "He's the perfect manager for the club. It's great that they have reached an agreement and now it's my turn!"

This week, Atmartico announced a new deal for Simeone until 2027.

Atmartico have now won six games in a row at home as they continue to chase the leader of the Girona standings. They will face Mallorca after the upcoming international break.

In addition to praising the coach, Griezmann also provides great clues about his future with the club.

Speaking to Movistar after the whistle sounded, the 32-year-old took the opportunity to confirm his intention to sign a new contract with Atmartico.

"[I am] very happy with Simeone's contract extension," he said. "Now, I think it's my turn!"
