Tottenham Hotspur Manager Sets A Record In The Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur managed to top the 2023/2024 Premier League standings after playing nine matches. This slick record made the manager, Ange Postecoglou, set a new record.

Against Fulham this Tuesday morning, Tottenham won 2-0 through goals from Son Heung-min and James Maddison. The three points achieved brought The Lilywhites back to the top of the standings.

Of the nine weeks that have been undertaken, Spurs have now collected 23 points, two points ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal.

Opta menyebut, Postecoglou kini menjadi manajer yang mampu meraih poin paling banyak di sembilan laga awal Liga Inggris pada musim perdananya.

Ange Postecoglou, who just joined Tottenham last summer, surpassed Mike Walker's previous record at Norwich City (1992/1993) and Guus Hiddink Chelsea (2008/2009). Both won 22 points from nine early games in their first season in the Premier League.

This slick achievement did not make Ange jumawa. He dedicated all of this to the team and this is a commensurate payment for the consistent performance of his team.

"Look, it (the record) is an appreciation for everything," said Ange Postecoglou when asked about his success in carving out the Premier League record, as reported by ESPN.

"Obviously this is a very proud start. Regarding appearances, we have played very consistently," he continued.
