Messi Turns Out Not Fluent In English, All Inter Miami Employees Are Willing To Learn Spanish

JAKARTA - Lionel Messi received special treatment after deciding to join Inter Miami. Messi's presence in the team was so grateful that the Inter Miami players were willing to do anything for the convenience of the star, including learning Spanish.

Inter Miami midfielder Edison Azcona said Messi's presence made them happy. Because being able to play with someone who already feels everything at club and national team level is a valuable lesson.

After spending several months with Messi in the team, Azcona learned the fact that La Pulga was not fluent in English.

Azcona admitted that he had never heard the attacker using that language. In various activities, including when he had to be involved in the international scale event, Messi used a lot of Spanish.

But Inter Miami punggawas didn't run out of ideas. They found out Messi was from Argentina. Argentine people use Spanish and initiativeal players to learn in order to communicate smoothly.

"I've never heard Leo (Messi) speak English. Sometimes, he says 'good morning' when he comes," he says.

"But those (players) who speak English and do not know Spanish then learn to speak Spanish so that everything goes smoothly," continued Azcona, quoted from Goal International, Tuesday, October 24.

Apart from trying to stay in touch with Messi, Azcona also admits that he and his colleagues continue to try to keep Messi in shape.

Even in training, everything softened when it had to survive the La Pulga attack.

"Everyone understands, we're not going to try to hurt him," said the Dominican Republic footballer.

Messi's presence at Inter Miami did make a big change. La Pulga was so instrumental in leading Inter Miami to the 2023 Leagues Cup champions' stairs.

Unfortunately, after this slick achievement, the living legend of Barcelona is more often languishing in the treatment room.

Without Messi, Inter Miami lost in the final of the US Open Cup. Gerardo Martino's squad also failed to win a play-off ticket for Major League Soccer (MLS).
