UEFA President Criticism Of Italy Chosen To Host Euro 2032: Football Infrastructure Is Very Bad

JAKARTA - Italy was chosen to host Euro 2032 together with Turkey. However, UEFA President Aleksandar Caferin gave a minor assessment of the football infrastructure in Italy.

Football infrastructure in Italy is generally considered still concerning.

"Italia infrastructure, compared to the level of football and the size of the country, is very bad. Of course I am optimistic, but I think the government should start investing in infrastructure," he said as quoted by Football Italia on Friday, October 13.

This was conveyed by Ceferin while in Fiorentina's new training camp, Wednesday, October 11. Prior to that, Ceferin visited the Italian training camp at Coverciano.

Caferin had said that if Italy were very interested in the football and sports business, they would have to do more. He also hopes that Italy's infrastructure will be better in the future.

On the other hand, about Italy's infrastructure, Caferin was amazed by Fiorentina's new training camp. He kept the hope that Italy's football infrastructure would develop in the future.

"This is probably the most beautiful training center I've ever seen and I've seen almost everything at least once," Ceferin said.

Italy has yet to confirm the location of the five stadiums that will be the venue for the match. But it is reported that at least two require massive restructuring work so that everything can be completed.
