JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Suryo Aji, has recently been rumored to be moving up from Moto3 to Moto2. He will continue to race with the same team, Honda Team Asia.

Mario Aji is predicted to fill the slot from Ai Ogura, who next season will race with his debut team in Moto2.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the Japanese team regarding this matter. Mario Aji also could not talk much about his future.

The 19-year-old racer can only hope for good news in the near future.

"At this time I have not been able to convey future decisions. Hopefully in the near future there will be good news for decisions in racing next season. Hopefully in the near future there will be good news," said Mario Aji, quoted by Antara.

Currently, the focus of the Astra Honda Racing Team dropout is on the Indonesian MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit, October 13-15. He did not want to repeat the same mistakes as last season.

In MotoGP 2022, Mario Aji actually had a great opportunity to achieve good achievements because he started from the third position. However, he failed to take advantage of that advantage and only finished in 14th position.

"For Mandalika, last year was the third start, but I can't maximize it. So the target this year can be stronger during the race," said the former Asia Talent Cup racer.
