JAKARTA - 6th Indonesian President Susilo Bhambang Yudhoyono (SBY) invited people in the country to provide support to the volleyball national team who are struggling at the 2023 Asian Games. This invitation was conveyed directly by SBY through his social media, Tuesday, September 26 afternoon WIB.

In a tweet, SBY wrote that access to witness the national team's struggle in Hangzhou, China was limited because it was not broadcast on the television channel. However, he remains enthusiastic about inviting the public to pray for the volleyball national team that is competing against North Korea.

"Friends who love volleyball, let's pray for our national team (although not broadcast) to compete against South Korea," wrote SBY at the beginning of his tweet quoted Tuesday, September 26.

Furthermore, the former president who is also active in volleyball also explained that the support provided by the community is very meaningful. The reason is that if Farhan Halim et al win this match, the volleyball national team can rank seventh.

If we win, Indonesia is ranked 7th in Asia. We have the potential to win SBY," he continued.

The Indonesian men's volleyball national team is indeed scheduled to face South Korea in the 7th place of the race on Tuesday, September 26 at the China Textile City Sports Center Gymnasium.

The Indonesian men's volleyball national team managed to penetrate the last 12 of the 2023 Asian Games indoor volleyball sport after becoming the runner-up in Group F behind Japan. Unfortunately, in that round, Indonesia lost 1-3 in China's hands. Previously for the race round ranked 7-10 on Monday, Indonesia managed to beat Kazakhstan with a score of 3-2.
