Yann Sommer Proves Manchester United Salah Buys Goalkeepers

JAKARTA - Andrea Onana had a difficult start in her career at Manchester United. While her successor at Inter Milan, Yann Sommer, performed so brilliantly in Italy.

Onana left the Champions League finalists to Old Trafford with a 47m deal in the summer. He is expected to be a commensurate replacement for David De Gea whose contract is not renewed.

But Onana has conceded 14 goals in just six games with MU, including when his team lost against Bayern Munich in the middle of the week in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Sommer has helped Inter record a sensational start in Serie A. He conceded just one goal in the first four games and won it all.

Even one concession came on derby day which destroyed the fierce rivals of AC Milan with a score of 5-1. Most recently, he recorded a clean sheet when Inter won 1-0 over Empoli, last weekend.

The Mail claims Sommer has shown "larger careers" and "more patience" than Onana.

They even added that this Swiss player looked better at using his feet than Onana.

Sommer joined Inter for around 5 million pounds from Bayern Munich. Whereas previously, he had been the target of MU.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has proven happy with her decision to buy Sommer. In fact, they previously targeted Gulielmo Vicario from Empoli, who chose to join Tottenham Hotspur.

"We did well to stay here and also thank Sommer, who played his part," said Inzaghi.
