Want A New Challenge, Israel Adesanya Supports Khamzat Chimaev Defeat Paulo Costa

JAKARTA - UFC fighter Israel Adesanya said he supported the 'new blood' when Khamzat Chimaev faced his former rival Paulo Costa.

Its village has beaten many competitors in the UFC middleweight. After that, it always looks for new challenges and competitions.

He hopes to get that challenge from Khamzat. That's with a record of being able to beat Paulo Costa.

The Khamzat versus Paolo Costa match will be held before Sean Totaling's main event at UFC 293 in Sydney.

Talking about the fight, Adesanya admitted that she supports Chimaev because she had previously beaten Costa.

"I don't know who will win but I think if I were seeded, I might side with Khamzat (Chimaev) more because I love new blood," he said, quoted by the Daily Mail, Tuesday, September 5.

In his support, Adesanya also warned Chimaev that the fight against Costa would not be easy, even though her own Adesa had defeated her in the past.

"I only make Paulo (Costa) look easy but believe me, he is a difficult struggle," said Adesa.

"He's a tough fight but I made it look easy. But I think I support Khamzat more in that fight."

Adesanya also admitted that she would face Chimaev before the end of this year and be able to find potential opponents in the future.

"I'm the one who actually pushed for the fight. I'm even trying to have another (fight agenda) this year. We'll see. Yes, of course (there might be one more fight this year). We'll see," he said.
