Indonesian League 1: Just Beat Bali United 3-1

JAKARTA Persis Solo managed to secure three points when they hosted the Bali United visitors in the ninth week of the Indonesian League 1 2023/2024.

Victory assured that 3-1 was secured by Persis while playing in front of his own supporters at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, Saturday, August 19 evening WIB.

Three goals for the hosts began with goals from Diego Bardanca, Fernando Rodriguez, and Arapenta Poerba. Meanwhile, the visitors' only goal was scored by Jefferson.

This is Persis' third win of the season. The previous two wins were won against Borneo and Persib Bandung.

Currently, Persis is ranked ninth in the standings with a collection of 12 points from nine matches. They are still two points adrift of Bali in seventh position.

In another match, three points were also brought home by Barito Putera when they hosted the Persik Kediri visitors at the Demang Lehman Stadium. In that match, Laskar Antasari won two goals without reply against ten Persik players.

Persik played ten games as Vava Mario Yagalo received a second yellow card before Gustavo Tocantins' penalty. This penalty is a reward for Yagalo's foul in the penalty box which resulted in a second yellow card.

Meanwhile, Persikabo 1973 had to experience a landslide loss of 0-3 to Madura United. In addition, Laskar Padjajaran fell when Aji Santoso made his debut as a coach.

In the other match, RANS Nusantara and Dewa United had to settle for sharing points. The two teams finished their ninth week without scoring a goal.
