Having A Big Role Behind Al Ittihad's Victory Over Tunisian Club Karim Benzema: Alhamdulillah

JAKARTA - Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad won the match against Tunisian club Esperance Sportive de Tunis. In Friday, July 28, Al Ittihad's victory could not be separated from the debut of their new player, Karim Benzema.

Al Ittihad and Esperance Sportive de Tunis met at the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup. In the match which took place at the King Fahd Stadium, the Tiger of Asia team won 2-1 over the Tunisian club.

From Al Ittihad's two goals in that match, Karim Benzema was involved in all the numbers created. Benzema's action even inspired the rise of Al Ittihad, who had fallen behind due to a goal conceded by Oussama Bouguerra in the 26th minute.

Even though it was slumped, Al Ittihad was able to bangkt and turn things around. The equalizer's goal was created from the header of Abderrazaq Hamed Allah in the 35th minute who took advantage of Benzema's hull pass.

Not satisfied just providing assists for the team's opener, Benzema also listed his name on the scoreboard in the 55th minute. The former Real Madrid player scored an impressive goal.

This is a sweet note for Benzema's debut that appeared for Al Ittihad. Through uploads on social media, Benzema did not forget to give thanks for being able to contribute in the inaugural match.

"Alhamdulillah," wrote Benzema about the goal in his debut match.

In the match between Al Ittihad and Esperance Sportive de Tunis, it was not only Benzema who made his first appearance. Benzema's country mate, NGolo Kante, also felt the first moment in the Al Ittihad uniform.

But unlike Benzema who started, Kante only entered in the second half when the match was still 1-1. Kante, who escorted France to the 2018 World Cup champion, came on to replace Portuguese player Jota.

After a sweet moment in his first appearance, Kante and Benzema will prepare with Al Ittihad to serve another Tunisian club, CS Sfaxien at the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup on Monday, July 31 in the morning WIB.
