Having Private Discussion With Harry Kane, Tottenham Manager: Nothing Shocked

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, admitted that he had spoken to the team captain, Harry Kane. Both of them talked about many things, including the player's future at Tottenham.

After the one-on-one conversation, Postecoglou said Harry Kane was fully committed to the North London club

"I had a good chat with Harry. Nothing electrifying or decisive," he said as quoted by AFP via Antara.

Postecoglou said his initial discussions with Kane were fruitful and had not been swayed by the transfer uncertainty ahead of the start of the new Premier League season next month.

As is known, speculation regarding the transfer of the England national team to Bayern Munich has recently increased. There is also Paris Saint-Germain interested in Kane.

Kane has 12 months left on his contract with Tottenham. He has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join the Bundesliga giants.

"Me and Harry are very much aligned, we want to see a successful team this year. He is here and as long as he is here he is really committed to what we do," said Postecoglou.

Previously, Bayern Munich Honorary President Uli Hoeness said his club was confident of bringing the 29-year-old player to Germany.

However, Postecoglou stated emphatically that no Bayern representatives had spoken to him or the club's management yet.

"No one has spoken to me from Bayern. If other clubs want to talk about our contract players it is more of a problem for them than for us. There are a lot of people who know Harry better than me but he will not be fazed by anything." Postecoglou said.

Kane himself was included in the list of 31 players Tottenham took for their pre-season tour to Perth, Bangkok, and Singapore.
