The moment of awarding awards directly was held on the sidelines of the 'Meeting the Champions' of the Cambodian 2023 ASEAN Para Games medals at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office Courtyard, Senayan, Jakarta.
"This is a little from the Ministry of Youth and Sports so that it can be used as well as possible and if the children of the late David Jacobs will take our education from the Ministry of Youth and Sports are ready to help," said the Menpora when handing over the placard with the amount of money given.

In addition to cash assistance, said Jeanny, the government also provided educational assistance. The four children of the late David Jacobs received scholarships up to strata 1 (S1) level.

David Jacobs died on April 28 at the age of 45. He was found unconscious at the railroad crossing heading Gambir-Juanda, Jakarta.
David Jacobs has proud achievements in the international arena including winning two bronze medals at the 2012 London Paralympics and Tokyo 2020 Paralympics for the individual class 10.
He also contributed three golds to the Asian Para Games in 2014 in Incheon (10th and 2018th grade individuals in Jakarta (10th grade individuals and 10th graders).
