Marcus Thuram Said After Officially Joining Inter Milan: Like Returning Home

JAKARTA - Marcus Thuram officially became part of Inter Milan after being recruited in the transfer market this summer. Appearing as a player in the Italian Serie A is one of Thuram's dreams that came true and makes him feel at home.

The 25-year-old player agreed to join Inter Milan on a free transfer after his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach was not extended. Brought to Italy, the Nerazzurri tied Thuram with a five-season contract until 2028.

Being part of Inter Milan is considered by Thuram as a great opportunity. Because being able to play in Italy is the player's dream which also makes him feel at home.

This was revealed by Marcus Thuram because he did have a special bond with Italy. Thuram was born in the city of Parma when his father, Lilian Thuram, strengthened the Gialloblu.

I used to watch Serie A when I was a kid and I saw so many champions. Coming to Serie A makes it like I'm coming home," Marcus Thuram was quoted as saying on the official Inter Milan website on Sunday, July 2.

Born to a father who had played in Italy, Thuram received a lot of advice and messages for his career with Inter. Armed with his father's message, Thuram also hopes that it can help him perform optimally for the Nerazzurri.

"The Italian league has changed a lot when compared to when my father was still playing. But he gave me a lot of advice as a father. That is to play with joy and enjoy every moment because my dream has come true," he said.

"I hope I can score a lot of goals in this uniform and win as much as possible," Marcus Thuram hoped.
