Diversity Becomes A Value Carried By The Indonesian Contingent At The Opening Ceremony Of The 2023 SEA Games Cambodia

JAKARTA - The 2023 SEA Games Cambodia will officially open on Friday, May 5. The opening ceremony will be held at the Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh.

Chef de Mission (CdM) of the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games, Lexyndo Hakim, revealed that the Indonesian contingent will carry the value of diversity in the opening ceremony defile.

"For further information regarding the opening ceremony, we will convey, which is clear, ha; - things like traditional clothes that will be worn and exhibited later, will be a sign that Indonesia is a big country, a big nation, various with the value of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," said Lexy.

Furthermore, Lexy said the value of diversity is an important spotlight for Indonesia to promote solidarity, solidarity, and sportsmanship in various sectors, especially sports, in front of fans from various nations in Southeast Asia and the world.

"This means we have diversity, but everyone is united, aspires to one goal for Indonesia. And I think tomorrow we will show it off at the opening ceremony," he said, as reported by Antara.

Meanwhile, women's swimmer Flairene Candrea Wonomiharjo had a great opportunity to lead the Indonesian contingent by carrying the Red and White flag at the opening ceremony of the inaugural SEA Games which was held in Cambodia.

Flairene will be in front row leading about 45 people who are representatives of 25 athletes and officials, as well as 15 representatives of the CdM Team and the Executive Committee of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia).

The sports that took part in the defile were karate, teqball, swimming, pencak silat, and sepak takraw.

Apart from Flairene, there are also Adi Wirawan representatives from NOC Indonesia, Chef de Mission (CdM) Team Indonesia Lexyndo Hakim, Vice CdM Puji Lestari, Deputy I Andi Astribhaskoro Emir, Deputy II Ibnu Riza Pradipta and others.
