JAKARTA - MotoGP 2023 will be held in a 20-series format. This was confirmed after the Kazakhstan series was canceled. The cancellation of the 9th series this season turned out to have a good impact on the racers.
Previously it was known that the Kazakhstan MotoGP series was scheduled to take place on July 9 at the Sokol International Circuit. This race should have been held before the Dutch MotoGP which took place, June 25.
With the cancellation of the Kazakhstan MotoGP, there will be a long free time. From the last series in the Netherlands, the new racing agenda will continue on August 6 in England which will also be the 10th series.
Of course this can benefit the racers in the midst of a busy schedule. The reason is, with no agenda in the Kazakhstan series, they will have a longer summer break.
Marc Marquez and his friends had 42 days before they finally returned to the asphalt in England. That long enough time can really help the riders to rest.
Still 17 race weekends to look forward to 🏁

Previously it was known that the cancellation of the MotoGP series in Kazakhstan was due to the fact that the circuit had not passed homologation. On that basis, the FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports have decided to shift the implementation of the Kazakhstan MotoGP to 2024 without any replacement race series.
"The ongoing homologation work at the circuit, coupled with the current global operational challenges, requires that the 2023 race be canceled," read a statement announced on the official MotoGP website on Wednesday, April 26.
"MotoGP looks forward to visiting the Sokol International Racetrack in 2024 to welcome the new territory to the racing calendar. There will be no replacement series for 2023," the statement concluded.
So far, MotoGP 2023 has completed three series. The last race took place at the COTA Circuit, Austin, United States of America, last April 17. The fourth series race will continue at the Spanish MotoGP, which will be held on April 28-30.
