JAKARTA - Polestar has officially entered into a partnership with Tesla to use a supercharger network in China. This was revealed by Chinese Polestar CEO Shen Ziyu.

Quoted from the Teslarati page, Saturday, November 18, this collaboration effectively made Polestar the second automaker in China to partner with Tesla for access to the supercharger network.

Prior to Polestar, SAIC-GM, a joint venture between SAIC Motor and General Motors, announced it would partner with Tesla for access to the supercharger network starting at the end of 2023.

The strategy carried out by Polestar in China is the same in America. Where, the manufacturer (Polestar) announced that it would use Tesla's electric vehicle data filling, which is indeed the standard in North America (NACS).

As is known, Polestar is not the only car manufacturer that has used NACS, several well-known manufacturers have previously collaborated, such as Ford, GM, and recently, Toyota has also adopted the standard.

Returning to the Chinese market, Polestar will also build its own charging service system, even the company plans to build about 60 electric charging stations in the first quarter of 2024.

So far all Polestar electric vehicle models have been made in China, and its newest model Polestar 4 has been launched at one of Geely's factories in Hangzhou. Polestar 4's first shipment is expected to take place later this year.
