The Signal For Electric Car Manufacturers BYD To Enter Indonesia Is Getting Stronger, Here's The Proof

JAKARTA - The signal of a well-known automotive manufacturer from China, namely BYD, will soon enter Indonesia stronger, after several high-ranking companies visited Indonesia.

Hal tersebut dimulai berdasarkan postingan instagram Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir, pada 26 Oktober lalu. Dalam unggahan tersebut para pemimpin BYD sedang berbincang dengan Presiden Jokowi.

"BYD as the largest electric vehicle manufacturing company in the world sees Indonesia's great potential and is interested in exploring cooperation in developing the industrial ecosystem of electric vehicles and green energy in the country," Erick wrote, in a statement in his upload.

This signal is getting stronger with photos uploaded by the Instagram account @indra_fathan recently, it can be seen that BYD electric cars are already on Jalan Jakarta, which is rumored to be BYD Seal, an electric sedan competing Hyundai Ioniq 6.

You can see from the design that is similar to BYD Seal, both from the back side to the front. However, BYD's logo and writing are still covered.

As is known, BYD Seal itself was sold in Thailand in September 2023, with the status of CBU from China directly. For the Thai market, this one car is offered in three types consisting of Dynamic RWD, Premium RWD and Performance RWD.

Speaking of price, for the Thai market there is IDR 578 million to IDR 698 million. So what if you enter Indonesia? Will it be an attractive option? It's worth waiting for.
