JAKARTA - Since serving as CEO for Toyota in January replacing Akio Toyoda, Koji Sato has made a breakthrough to advance his products. One of them is to continue the Gazoo Racing (GR) division by continuing the development of the model.
Sato took over as President and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation replacing the grandson of the founder of Toyota, Akio Toyoda, who moved to Chairman.

Koji Sato revealed that his party will accelerate the development of the Gazoo Racing brand for the future.

He also added that with Akio Toyoda who is placed in the position of Chairman, it is possible that Toyoda has more time to develop cars for GR.
"Master Driver (Akio Toyoda) is the company's leader and at the same time he is in control of the Gazoo Racing division. Now, he's just the chairman, maybe he has more time to develop the car for them?," added Sato.
So far, Toyota has presented several cars developed by Gazoo Racing, such as GR86, Supra, Yaris, and Corolla.
In Indonesia, several models of GR variants were also presented, such as Agya, Rush, Raize, and the upcoming SUV, RAV4.
