West Java (Jabar) Provincial Government (Pemprov) has installed a special portable analytic CCTV tool to monitor the volume of vehicles crossing Jalan Raya Kadungora, Garut Regency.
Secretary of the Garut Regency Transportation Service, Asep Jaelani, said that this CCTV is to strengthen the security of Christmas and New Year's 2024 until the Eid Al-Fitr homecoming season.
"The portable analytic CCTV is a tool installed by the province in Kadungora to clean up vehicles," he said in Garut, Sunday, November 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said that generally officers are on standby to calculate the volume of vehicles coming or crossing Garut manually at officer posts during the holiday homecoming season as well as the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The manual working system for calculating motorized vehicles, he said, would no longer be carried out after the installation of CCTV portable analytics specifically in Kadungora as the main road from Bandung entered the urban area of Garut.
"Meanwhile, only one was in Kadungora, so later the task will be more effective, no longer using manuals, but already digital," he said.

He conveyed that the digital tool to calculate the volume of the vehicle is expected to start functioning during the security of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Furthermore, he said, of course, the tool will be used again during the operation to secure the holiday season for homecoming and back to Eid al-Fitr in Garut Regency.
"In addition to being carried out digitally later in Kadungora, we are also temporarily doing manual methods on the Limbangan route," he said.
He added that the digital tool would later be operated by officers who were directly monitored at the West Java Provincial Transportation Agency and Garut Regency.
The existence of the tool, he said, would directly detect the number of motorized vehicles, as well as be recorded on video and photo.
"This will be very effective in calculating the backflow flow, the photo is also available," said Asep.
