Police Increase The Security Of Office Houses And Sorong Regent's Office After OTT Yan Piet Mosso

Sorong Police carried out security patrols following the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)'s hand arrest operation (OTT) against Sorong Regent Yan Piet Mosso (YPM) and five other people.

These patrols were included enhanced in the area of the Sorong Regent's official residence, the Sorong Regent's office, and several other places.

"We have improved the patrol to anticipate things that are not desirable to happen," said Sorong Police Chief AKBP Yohanes Agustiandaru in Sorong, Southwest Papua, Tuesday, November 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

Yohanes also appealed to all communities and families caught in OTT to fully hand over the handling of the legal case to the KPK.

"Let's keep the security and public order situation conducive, not take excessive actions," said Yohanes.

Previously, in the early hours of Monday, November 12, KPK investigators conducted an OTT on YPM at his residence along with the Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Sorong Regency, Efer Segidifat (ES), the secretary of BPKAD Sorong Regency, and two BPK employees Representative for West Papua Province.

KPK investigators have detained and named six people as suspects in the alleged corruption case of bribery in determining the findings of financial examinations at the Sorong Regency Government, Southwest Papua Province.

"For the purposes of the investigation, investigators detained the suspects for the first 20 days starting from November 14, 2023 to December 3, 2023 at the KPK Detention Center," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday.

The six suspects are Acting Regent of Sorong Yan Piet Mosso (YPM), Head of BPKAD Sorong Regency Efer Segidifat (ES), BPKAD staff of Sorong Regency Maniel Syatfle (MS), Head of BPK Representative for West Papua Province Patrice Lumumba Sihombing (PLS), Head of Subaud BPK West Papua Province Abu Hanifa (AB), and Head of the Audit Team David Patasaung (DP).
