TKN Steering Committee KIM Meeting To Discuss Strategic Issues Including MKMK Decision

JAKARTA - The Meeting of the Steering Committee of the National Campaign Team (TKN) of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) discussed various strategic agendas, including the decision of the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK).

"On tonight's agenda, we discussed strategic matters. Regarding the Constitutional Court, of course, the team will handle it," said the chairman of the TKNKI Steering Committee,mirlangga Hartarto, after a meeting at the Golkar Party DPP office, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.

He said the meeting of the Steering Committee for KIM also discussed the campaign agenda and coordination of the schedule for presidential and vice presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabimumming Raka.

Airlangga said at the meeting, reminded the nearest schedules for TKN Prabowo-Gibran, such as the determination of the candidate pairs on November 13, 2023, the draw for serial numbers on November 14, 2023, and the campaign on November 28 to December 10, 2023.

"The director conveyed things that TKN needs to pay attention to, especially technical matters related to scheduling, schedule of vice presidents and presidential candidates, and involvement from political parties, namely that all inputs have been submitted to the chairman of the TKN and recorded by the TKN secretary. Therefore, the periodically conducting steering team will continue to provide input," he said.

Chairman of TKN KIM Rosan Roeslani said he would ensure that the schedule of presidential and vice-presidential candidates was well coordinated.

"Of course there are other schedules that will be determined by the General Election Commission (KPU), including the presidential candidate debate," he said.

The inaugural TKN Board of Trustees meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP Sufmi Dasco, the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan, the General Chairperson of the Gelora Party Anis Matta, the Chairman of the Garuda Party Ahmad Ridha Sabana, and the Chairman of the Prima Agus Jabo Party.

Previously, the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani conveyed that the decision of the ethics trial of the Supreme Court Honorary Council (MKMK) against nine judges of the Constitutional Court actually increased the spirit of his party and the Advanced Indonesia Coalition to work to win the Prabowo-Gibran pair.

Muzani assessed that the ethical lawsuit against the Constitutional Court judges who decided that regional heads could run for the 2024 election even though they were not yet 40 years old was seen as a form of attack for the Prabowo-Gibran pair.

"For us, any attempt to attack, accuse, which discredits, degrades and depoliticizes the Prabowo-Gibran pair is something that actually encourages us to win Prabowo-Gibran. Whatever you talk and accuse about this couple, God willing, this pair will win in the upcoming elections," said Muzani.
