Tomorrow, The Venue For The JIS U-17 World Cup And GBK Will Be Strictly Guarded

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police is focusing on security at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area during the U-17 World Cup from 10 November to 2 December 2023.

The National Police deployed tens of thousands of personnel in a security scheme for the U-17 World Cup. Specifically in Jakarta, as many as 2,348 personnel were deployed.

"Security includes several venues that will be used for the match later, namely at JIS Jakarta and in several GBK areas as training venues", said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko

Thousands of Metro Jaya Police members were included in Operation Safe Bacuya 2023 which was carried out from 10 November to 4 December 2023.

Holding the U-17 World Cup is a matter of pride for Indonesia. Because the world has placed great trust in it.

"Of course it is an honor to have the world trust Indonesia to hold international events", said Trunoyudo.

Meanwhile, the National Police deployed 13,251 personnel related to security for the 2023 U-17 World Cup. The tens of thousands of members are a combination of four regional police ranks.

Of the tens of thousands of personnel deployed, in detail, 415 are from National Police Headquarters and the remainder or 12,836 personnel are from Metro Jaya Police, Polda West Java, Polda East Java and Polda Central Java.

The 2023 U-17 World Cup will take place from 10 November to 2 December. A total of 24 countries divided into six groups will compete to become the winner.

In this event, four stadiums in Indonesia have been chosen as places for the country's representatives to compete, namely, Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, Manahan Stadium in Solo, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), and Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung.

The Indonesian National Team is in Group A with Ecuador, Panama and Morocco. In their first match, young Garuda will face Ecuador on November 10 at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium.
