Batam Police Investigate A District Court Judge Killed In Hotel Room

Batam District Court confirmed that one of the judges on duty there was found dead in one of the hotels in Batam City, Riau Islands on Sunday night November 5. "The information is true. He did stay a day at the hotel (staying for a long time), because he lived alone in Batam," said Public Relations of the Batam District Court Eddy Sameaputty, quoted by ANTARA, Monday 6 November. Batam District Court judge known as Nanang Herjunanto said Eddy, before staying at the hotel, he had rented a house around Batam Center with his family. But because he wanted to move for promotion, Nanang's family first returned to his village in Yogyakarta. "He just waited for the moment to promote to become Deputy Chair of the Amuntai District Court in the next month," he said.

As for the cause of death, Eddy admitted that until now his party was still waiting for the results of the autopsy conducted by the Police. "Currently Nanang's body has been taken to the Bhayangkara Hospital of the Riau Islands Police. We are still waiting for the results of the autopsy from the Police, then the cause of death can be conveyed," he said.
