PPK GBK Considered Lampaui Kewenangan PN Jakpus Gegara Somasi Karyawan Hotel Sultan

The Bung Karno Gelora Area Management Center (PPK GBK) is considered to have exceeded the court's reluctance for sending subpoenas to employees of the Sultan Hotel. This is because civil lawsuits related to the dispute between PT Indobuildco and PPK GBK are still being tried.

This was conveyed by the attorney for PT Indobuildco, Hamdan Zoelva in response to the summons sent by PPK GBK attorney, Saor Siagian. It is stated that employees who are still active in the luxury hotel area will be legally entangled.

"The summons and threats to PT Indobuildco employees as the legal manager of the Sultan Hotel have exceeded the authority of the Central Jakarta District Court which is currently hearing the PT Indobuildco lawsuit against PPK GBK Number 667/Pdt.G/2023/PN Jkt.Pst," said Hamdan quoting Antara.

Hamdan regretted the summons that had already been sent. Moreover, the Central Jakarta District Court has scheduled a mediation hearing on Monday, November 6.

In addition, HGB Number 26 and 27 which became the basis for the construction of the Sultan Hotel has never been canceled by the court and has not ended. Thus, the building should be legally owned by PT Indobuildco.

Furthermore, Hamdan also mentioned the one-sided action of PPK GBK when carrying out the execution. He said, this kind of action felt like the first time this had happened by an institution formed by the government and should pay tribute to legal principles.

"A unilateral and arbitrary action as shown by PPK GBK is the first time this has happened in Indonesia. Execution of the object of dispute is mandatory on a court order," he said.

Thus, PPK GBK was asked to refrain until the court's decision was knocked. Given that many workers at the hotel depend on their fate to support their families.

"There are thousands of people who rely on their lives from working at the Sultan Hotel & Residence, both as employees and vendors including taxi drivers," said Hamdan.

"Where is the sense of humanity PPK GBK if unilaterally forcing employees to stop working? Will PPK GBK support them? Let the legal process take place and the panel of judges decide fairly," he concluded.
