Asked To Call The Head Of A Political Party Who Was Hosted By A Truf Card, Hasto Alludes To Party Sovereignty

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto actually touched on the importance of party sovereignty when making political decisions.

This was conveyed by Hasto in response to a number of parties who asked him to open the figure of the general chairman of the party who was held hostage by a truck card by the authorities.

He made this statement in response to the current political situation after PDIP felt abandoned by the political path taken by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after his son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, stepped forward as vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.

"Well, we love the whole general chairman. We love that democracy without political parties cannot. So the sovereignty of political parties is very important in making decisions," Hasto told reporters at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, November 2.

Instead of answering who the general chairman he meant, Hasto actually called his statement a greeting. Thus, all parties maintain a healthy democracy without intervention.

"Don't talk, we don't intervene, but in practice, for example, it is full of various efforts," he said.

"So this is what we are doing. Because of this reform, we agree that democracy through our political parties opens criticism," continued Hasto.

Moreover, Hasto felt there was no need for him to open the length of anyone who felt that his truck card was held by the authorities. Because this issue has actually become a public secret.
