Russia Reveals Combat Robot Used By Attack Troops In Ukraine's Battlefield

JAKARTA - Russia has again called the Ukrainian battlefield a place to operate new technologies for domestically made weapons systems (alutsistas).

In the middle of this month, Russia showcased ground-based BR-2 robotic vehicles with flexiblely installed machine guns, as well as BR-1 Minyor mine vehicles at the 'Interpolitex 2023' international security exhibition in Moscow, Gran Scientific and Production Association told TASS as quoted October 25.

In addition to the two, Russia is also showing off a robotic BRG-1 vehicle designed to evacuate victims and deliver cargo at the exhibition.

"The three robotic vehicles are on display for the first time. This system has been successfully used in the special military operations zone and its response is positive," we, the company, refer to the official term Russian-Ukraine battlefield.

"Overall, about 60 of our combat robots are used in special military operations zones. This platform is operated with joysticks. Russian military members learn how to operate it very quickly," the company continued.

Furthermore, it is said that the BR-2 robotic platform was used by a Russian strike team in a special military operation in Ukraine.

Russian troops also used the BR-1 Minyor robotic vehicle to spread remotely controlled mines.

The Ukraine war, which has been going on since February 2022, is known to have been used by Russia for its latest defense equipment field testing, after undergoing a series of tests at the manufacturing plant.

Last month, Russian experts continued to develop an FPV drone dubbed Vorobey (Church Bird) weighing 1.3 kilograms, with 500 grams of ammunition that can be used to attack armored vehicles, said Andrey Bratenkov, Chief Executive Director of Specttr.

He said the drone carrying the cumulative payload developed by a Russian research institute had been successfully tested in a special military operations zone.

According to Bratenkov, the drone will be deployed to the battlefield in the near future, ensuring greater efficiency due to its lower mass and higher effectiveness.

"This drone armament weighs about 500 grams and is capable of penetrating up to 200 mm of armored. As a result, in terms of property, the Vorobey drone can be said to be'mini'," he explained.
