LAMPUNG - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) paid a working visit to Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 3 Metro City, Lampung to see the student learning process and facilities at this school.
Jokowi arrived at SMKN 3 Metro Friday, October 27 at around 08.14 WIB accompanied by Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko and Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi.
At the school, Jokowi saw the existing learning process and facilities and infrastructure.
"Yes, every visit to districts or cities, I always visit SMK and today to SMKN 3 Metro. And from the several schools I visited, it can be seen that the facilities are different. And at SMKN 3, I think it is ready," Jokowi said as quoted by Antara.
Jokowi stated that SMKN 3 Metro already has adequate facilities and infrastructure, starting from CNC machines, design machines, computers and other facilities that are very complete.
"We just don't have a master cutting machine yet and we will help later," he said again.
According to him, if every vocational school has adequate facilities and infrastructure, it will be very good for the student learning process, because in this school student skills will be honed and with complete facilities and infrastructure, students' skills can be trained.
"Schools must follow the existing technological developments. If everything is like at SMKN 3, I think it will be very good," said Jokowi.
On this occasion, Jokowi also took measurements of clothes to make shirts from SMKN 3 Metro students.
After this visit to SMKN 3 Metro, President Jokowi will continue his work visit agenda in Lampung Province by reviewing the construction of traditional roads and markets in Central Lampung Regency.
