Dozens Of Kilograms Of Drugs Destroyed By West Jakarta Police Results Of Disclosure For 3 Months

JAKARTA - Nearly one quintal drug consisting of 7.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 87 kilograms of marijuana and 1,090 ecstasy pills confiscated from seven syndicates was destroyed by the West Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, October 25.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol M Syahduddi said the drugs were the result of the disclosure of the July-September 2023 period.

"There are several crime scenes (crime scenes) as well as disclosure cases. The first is the TKP in Tegal Alur, Kalideres, with eight packages of ecstasy pills as many as 1,090 pills and EP suspects," said Syahduddi, Wednesday, October 25.

The second case at the crime scene (TKP) Terminal 2E Soekarno-Hatta Airport with evidence of four packages of dirty one kilogram methamphetamine and suspects S, A and W.

"Then the third case of the TKP was also at Terminal 1A Soekarno-Hatta Airport with evidence of 15 packages of methamphetamine weighing two kilograms and suspects TBM, MR and W," he said.

The fourth case is in the Permata Complex in Ambon Village.

"This is evidence of a package of methamphetamine weighing one kilogram and a suspect WH," said Syahduddi.

The fifth case was at Kualanamu Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, with evidence of four packages of methamphetamine weighing two kilograms and suspects AN and AM.

"Then the sixth, the TKP is in the Ciracas District, East Jakarta, with evidence of 10 packages of methamphetamine weighing 1.5 kilograms and suspects AZ, AF and I," said Syahduddi.

Seventh, the TKP at the KM 45 Rest Area of the Merak Jakarta Toll Road in Balaraja Tangerang, Banten Province, with 87 packages of marijuana weighing 87 kilograms and suspects S and MF.

"This is what was revealed by the Taman Sari Metro Police," said Syahduddi.

Syahduddi said that a total of 15 suspects from seven syndicates were arrested in the disclosure and almost all of them acted as couriers.

"On average, all couriers," he said.

The destruction was carried out using an incinerator with a high temperature so that this drug evidence was completely burned down without any remnants and did not cause a negative effect on other communities.

Syahduddi said there were several modus operandi modes for the spread of narcotics, including through interprovincial networks, disguised in bags, stored in houses and using expedition trucks.

"This is what we have revealed related to several modus operandi of bringing narcotics from one city to another in one province (and between provinces)," said Syahduddi.

Syahduddi said the purpose of the distribution of a number of narcotics was Jakarta in several different locations.

"This disclosure has saved about 212,590 lives," he said.

For their actions, the perpetrators are suspected of Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 111 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of life imprisonment and / or a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of death.
