The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is said to have submitted a number of documents to Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, October 23.

The document is related to a case of alleged corruption in the form of extortion or gratification against the former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL.

"So it is related to the submission of documents and letters by the KPK RI on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 18.00 and then confiscation by investigators," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Tuesday, October 24.

However, it was not clearly explained about the documents that had been submitted by the KPK. It is only conveyed when investigators have confiscated it to be used as evidence.

"This will then be used as evidence from a series of investigative actions," he said.

The submission of the document is a follow-up to the KPK on a letter sent by investigators from the Corruption Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya on October 20.

Meanwhile, regarding the supervision application letter or cooperation that was also submitted by investigators, said Ade, the KPK has not provided an answer.

Polda Metro Jaya will wait for the reasons given by the anti-corruption agency to review it first.

"But until now we are still waiting for an answer from the KPK RI," said Ade.

In the process of investigating the case, investigators have examined 54 witnesses. Some of them, such as Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar.

In addition, investigators use Article 12 letter e or Article 12 letter B, or Article 11 of the Corruption Act in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.
