Police Stop Investigation The Death Of Brigadier SH

TANJUNG SELOR - Investigation into the death of Brigadier Setyo Herlambang was stopped. This decision was taken because no criminal element was found in the death of Brigadier SH.

The Head of the Kaltara Regional Police, Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, explained that the team from the National Police Headquarters Laboratory, Inafis, Biddokkes Polda Central Java, Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri, family and external parties had previously conducted case titles.

"Bidpropam Polda Kaltara has also carried out supervision," Daniel told reporters, Wednesday, October 18.

Kompolnas, continued Daniel, also helped oversee the investigation into the death of Brigadier Setyo Herlambang.

"So everything is done objectively and transparently," said Daniel.

Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Taufik Herdiansyah Zeinardi, said the investigation began when a report was reported on the discovery of a body at the Kaltara Police Chief's official residence, Friday (22/9).

"We and a team from the National Police Headquarters have conducted TKP (the crime scene) and examined witnesses," he said.

The Ditreskrimum Polda Kaltara secured several pieces of evidence (BB) for further examination by the Labfor Team.

"Such as examining CCTV footage (closed circuit television) as well as DNA examination (deoxyribo nuclear acid) and anatomical pathology and others. All examinations are carried out using the scientific crime investigation (SCI) method," he explained.

"Essentially, no criminal element was found in the case of the death of Brigadier Setyo Herlambang. On that basis, the Ditreskrimum Polda Kaltara decided to stop the investigation into the case of the death of the personal bodyguard (walpri), the Kapolda," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General (Sekjen) Kompolnas Inspector General (Ret.) Benny Jozua Mamoto emphasized that his party had been guarding this case since its beginning to appear to the public. Kompolnas paid special attention to the Kaltara Police Chief.

"From the start we were guarding this case," he said.

The presence of Kompolnas, continued Benny, is a form of transparency in the investigation process carried out by the police.

"So we from Kompolnas give appreciation. Moreover, we have used the SCI method to thoroughly investigate this case," said Benny.

Although it took quite a long time to wait for the results of the examination. "Now the case has been resolved," he said.

Meanwhile, the lawyer for the family of Brigadier SH, Aryas Adi Suyanto, said that the family accepted the decision from the results of the investigation conducted by the Kaltara Police. The process is said to be carried out transparently.

"Initially, the case of Brigadier Setyo Herlambang's death was confusing. Alhamdulillah, now it is clear and nothing is covered up. The family also felt relieved and accepted the decision from the results of the investigation," he said.

"On behalf of the family, Brigpol SH expressed his gratitude to the National Police Chief, the North Kalimantan Police Chief and Kompolnas who had been guarding this case from the start. Please pray, the wife of the deceased will give birth immediately. Hopefully, it will be smooth and easy," he concluded.
