Surabaya City Government Beautifies Kalimas River Pinggir With Tabebuya

SURABAYA - Surabaya City Government (Pemkot), East Java, beautifies the banks of the Kalimas River by planting Tabebuya Trees for assistance from the private sector.

"I believe this Tabebuya tree will provide beauty, especially if it is planted on the banks of the Kalimas River," said Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi when receiving assistance as many as 55 Tabebuya trees from PT Kamadjaja Logistics at the Surabaya Expression Park Education Museum yard, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

The assistance was given directly by the Deputy CEO of PT Kamadjaja Logistics Ivy Kamadjaja to the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi. In fact, after the handover, Mayor Eri and Ivy Kamadjaja immediately planted the tabebuya tree on the north side of the Education Museum or on the banks of the Kalimas River.

Mayor Eri said that the tree is a sign of life. When this tree continues to grow and grow bigger and it can provide benefits and provide beauty to others, of course, those who provide assistance will get continuous rewards for the beauty of the tree.

Therefore, he immediately ordered the Head of the Surabaya Environment Agency (DLH) Agus Hebi Djuniantoro to plant the Tabebuya tree on the banks of the Kalimas River.

In fact, he continued, it could also be provided in one of the places, where all the trees were moved and then replaced with the Tabebuya tree, so that when the Tabebuya is grown and flowering, it will be more beautiful when enjoying the river crossing.

"It will definitely be very cute. But please give the distance between trees later, measuring the distance of the 55 trees, so they don't collide. So, later the Tabebuya will not only be on the streets, but also on the banks of the river," he said.

In addition, Mayor Eri also asked when the Tabebuya had grown up, below which the writings of PT Kamadjaja Logistics must be given, so that everyone knows that that is the tree assisted by investors. That's the spirit of the people of Surabaya, the spirit of the companies in Surabaya.

"In this way, God willing, it will spur the enthusiasm of the people of Surabaya to always develop the city of Surabaya with family strength, with extraordinary strength of togetherness," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy CEO of PT Kamadjaja Logistics Ivy Kamadjaja ensured that his company was not only in Surabaya, but had grown to almost all major cities in Indonesia with several partners from abroad.

However, whatever and wherever the company is, he ensures that Surabaya is the main thing, because Surabaya for him is his home.

"For that, in this simple event, we would like to thank the Surabaya City Government through the Mayor who has agreed to receive 55 Tabebuya trees and 550 parcels for Surabaya children in need," he said.

He also believes that the relationship and cooperation between his company and the Surabaya City Government does not only stop there. Because, he admitted that he was very proud to be a resident of Surabaya and ensured that he would always give the best for the city of Surabaya.
