Complete Examination At Polda Metro, Saut Situmorang Talks About Dumas To KPK Rules

JAKARTA - Former Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Saut Situmorang, suspects that he will be questioned about the rules in force at anti-corruption agencies, including public complaints (dumas).

He made this statement when he fulfilled the summons for examination as a witness in the alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against the former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL at Polda Metro Jaya.

"The complaint letter continues, how is the process and so on. Maybe later I will provide that information," Saut told reporters, Tuesday, October 17.

In addition, the former Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015 to 2019 period also thought that he would be questioned about the rules regarding the prohibition of KPK leaders from meeting with litigants.

According to him, this matter has been regulated in Articles 36 and 65 of Law number 30 of 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission.

"In addition to later, why can it be included in Articles 36 and 65. That's all temporary," said Saut

Meanwhile, investigators will also examine five other witnesses, today. They are three officials from the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) and two aides.

The three witnesses are the Head of the Division and the Director General. However, it was not explained in detail about the identity of the witnesses.

It was only conveyed in the investigation process that dozens of witnesses had been questioned to determine the suspect in the extortion case against SYL.

"Total sampai dengan kemarin sudah 23 orang saksi dimintai keterangan selama proses penyidikan," kata Direktur Reserse Kriminal Khusus Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak.

Several witnesses who have been questioned are Syahrul Yasin Limpo and Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar. They were questioned at the beginning of the case going up to the investigation stage.

Then, investigators have also examined Kevin Egananta, Friday, October 13. He is an ADC or an aide to the Chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri.

Then, the Director of Public Reporting and Complaints Services of the KPK, Tomi Murtomo, has also taken his statement, on Monday, October 16.
