Ganjar Gagas Program One Poor Family One Bachelor

PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar while giving a public lecture at Christian University Maranata Bandung, Wednesday, October 11.

BANDUNG Will be a presidential candidate in 2024, Ganjar Pranowo emphasized that education is the key in eradicating poverty. So, he launched a program for one poor family of one undergraduate.

This was conveyed by Ganjar in front of thousands of students when giving a public lecture at the Christian University of Maranata Bandung, Wednesday, October 11.

On that occasion, Ganjar explained his ideas and ideas to make Indonesia a developed country, one of which is related to the elimination of poverty.

"I believe, to solve the problem of poverty, the best is with education. Why do I say that, because I myself am an example," said Ganjar.

Ganjar said that he, who came from a very simple family, could succeed as he is today because of education. If he doesn't go to school, then maybe his fate is not like it is today.

"Well, that's where the role of the state comes in. How so that all Indonesian people can access education well," he explained.

In addition, Ganjar also has experience in breaking poverty with education. While leading Central Java, he made a free boarding school for poor people named SMK Negeri Central Java.

"Everything is free, free sleep, food, shoes, uniforms, bags we all pay for. And those who can enter school are the conditions of poor families," he explained.

And the program proved to be effective. Poor children who are threatened with not being able to go to school can finally get an education. Amazingly, 100 percent of graduates are unemployed.

"They work in large companies, some in Japan, Germany, Korea and others. And they become the backbone of the family. I was touched when they said they could pay off family debts, buy houses, land and others. They could lift families from poverty," he said.

For this reason, the program can be expanded throughout Indonesia. He will also encourage free education from PAUD to SMA.

"And we want to encourage a poor family of one undergraduate. If that can be realized, then I believe poverty can be resolved," he said.

Ganjar is optimistic, to make this happen. To make it happen, a strong leadership is needed in making decisions.

"That's why the state budget must be doubled, the government system must be digital and corruption must be eradicated. If that's possible, then the state budget can be automated for infrastructure development, education, health and others," he concluded.
