Former Minister Of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo Against KPK Through Pretrial

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo filed a pretrial against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The pretrial was submitted to the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

"It's true (Syahrul filed a pretrial lawsuit, ed)," said South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer Djumyanto when confirmed by reporters, Wednesday, October 11.

This lawsuit was filed because of his status as a suspect in the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) corruption case. Djumyanto said this case was registered under Number 114/Pid.Pra/2023/PN JKT.SEL.

"(Regarding, red) whether or not the determination of the suspect is legal," he said.

The first trial, continued Djumyanto, will be held Monday, October 30. The trial was chaired by Judge Alimin Ribut Sujono.

As previously reported, Syahrul was reportedly caught in a corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture along with two of his subordinates, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

In this case, investigators said that there were three clusters of alleged corruption handled by investigators. The details are extortion related to positions, gratuities, and money laundering (TPPU).
