Heru Budi Admits His Allowance As Kasetpres Is Smaller Than The Sub-district Head In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono admitted that the performance allowance (tukin) as Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) at the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) is smaller than the Tukin sub-district head in Jakarta. This was revealed by Heru after inaugurating hundreds of echelon III and echelon IV officials in the positions of administrators and supervisors within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. "Today I am listed as an employee of the State Secretariat. I want to tell you that my tukin is at level with echelon 3 in DKI Jakarta province. The sub-district head is Rp. 50 million to Rp. 51 million, right? Deputy sub-district head, Rp. 50 million. You, you know," said Heru at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, October 4. However, Heru emphasized that he did not want to compare his income as an ASN at the Ministry of State Secretariat with Jakarta sub-district heads. As the Acting Governor of DKI, Heru asked the newly inaugurated regional apparatus today to seriously work because of the large value of the allowance they received. "You I demand to work well," he said.

Heru reviewed that when he was still the Head of the Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) in 2016, he admitted that he was trying to increase the allowances for echelon III and IV ASN. However, Heru feels that their performance is still not optimal. "I remember very well 2016, we are fighting so that you can get a performance allowance. In the next three years you will get a performance allowance, all performance is good," explained Heru. "When I returned to City Hall (to become the Acting Governor of DKI), why do you think everything is normal in my opinion?" he said. To the newly appointed officials, Heru emphasized that they should be able to improve their performance and resolve community problems in their respective regions.
