Not Wanting To Rush To Give Support In The 2024 General Election, Kaesang Will 'Gerilya' Listen To The Input Of Cadres-People

JAKARTA - Chairman (Ketum) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep stated that he had not yet determined party support in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). "We still haven't determined. Don't rush it,” said Kaesang in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 3. PSI is a democratic party and wants to listen to all elements of society to get good input in determining the presidential candidate who will be supported later. According to him, PSI needs to listen to votes from administrators in provinces, cities and districts as well as the wider community, after which it is announced to the public. "I don't take care of other parties," he said. He and the PSI DPP management will continue to make visits to a number of parties both in Jakarta and to the provinces. According to Kaesang, the visit was to introduce the party to the public. "We want to introduce parties and ideologies to the public, to be better known," he said. PSI also launched the PSI Log in Movement which opens space for people who want to join the party. "“ We want politics with joy, there is no denouncing others or demeaning others," he said. During the meeting, there were a number of young people who stated that they had joined PSI, starting from former Bekasi KPUD commissioner Pedro, former third generation JKT 48 Zebi and others. They stated that they were joining PSI and were ready to carry out the party program which was indeed filled with the younger generation. PSI Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni said he provided ample space for the General Chairperson to interact with party cadres both in Jakarta and in the regions later.

"We plan to have a visit to the regions to meet party cadres and to absorb their aspirations related to support in the 2024 presidential election," he said.
