Investigate Allegations Of Corruption In The Samisake Program, The Prosecutor's Office Examines The Former Secretary Of Bengkulu

BENGKULU - Bengkulu District Attorney (Kejari) examined the former Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bengkulu City Marjon regarding the alleged corruption case of the program "One Billion One Kelurahan (Samisake)".

Marjon was examined in his capacity while serving as the Regional Secretary of Bengkulu City as well as the Chair of the Formation of the Samisake Program Public Service Agency (BLU) in 2013.

"We are examining the former Secretary of Bengkulu City Marjon and he is being investigated because his capacity as the regional secretary and as the Head of the Samisake BLU Formation," said Bengkulu Kejari Head Yunita Arifin when met at the Bengkulu Mayor's Office, Wednesday, September 27, confiscated by Antara.

Yunita explained that the prosecutor asked Marjon for information about the history of the formation of the Samisake BLU and the process of returning Samisake funds in 2013 with a payment period of two years, in 2015 and 2016 to be exact.

From Marjon's statement, it is known that Samisake program fund management is carried out by the Office Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) which is currently the Bengkulu City Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Service.

"The Cooperatives Service has also been examined. We are looking for and knowing how the return and preparation of the Samisake BLU was formed at that time," said Kajari.

Previously, the Bengkulu Kejari had named the Chairman of the Maju Bersama Community Empowerment Agency (BKM) with the initials HI as a suspect in the 2013 Samisake program corruption case., namely BKM Maju Bersama," he said.

Based on the results of an audit conducted by the Indonesian Financial Audit Agency (BPK) in 2019, it was revealed that from the Samisake Bengkulu City program, there were more than Rp13 billion in bad fees from the recipient community.

Meanwhile, based on the results of the independent audit requested by the Bengkulu City Government, it was known that of the Rp13 billion finding of traffic jams, a total of Rp1 billion had been deposited by the UPTD to the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) and there were still Rp12 billion left which had to be recovered according to BPK's advice.
