JAKARTA - A man has died from injuries he suffered after being gored by a bull at a festival in eastern Spain, authorities said.
The Spanish man, who was not named, was gored by a bull named Cocinero during a bull running festival in the town of Pobla de Farnals, Valencia region, on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital but later died, officials there said on Sunday, reported by Reuters, September 25.
The man suffered injuries to his pelvis and underwent surgery, but his life was said to still not be saved, quoted by the BBC.
Meanwhile, a second man, a Spaniard, who was gored in the leg by the same bull, was in stable condition in hospital, officials added.
According to a survey by animal rights groups AnimaNaturalis and CAS international, more than 1,820 activities related to the tradition of releasing bulls through the streets along predetermined paths, while people run in front of them, are held in various Spanish cities every year.
