Iranian President Raisi Says Israel's Normalization Agreement Will Fail

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said in an interview on television that on Sunday US-sponsored efforts to normalize Israel's relations with Arab and Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, would not work.

"It won't work," he said in an interview on CNN.

Israel is known to have succeeded in improving its relationship with a country like the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco in line with diplomatic initiatives driven by the United States to normalize relations in 2020, citing The National News.

Most recently, this normalization issue became one of the points of conversation, when US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in New York last week.

"We have the same vision, historic peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia, a move to end the Arab-Israeli conflict, and build harmony between the Islamic world and the Jewish state," PM Netanyahu wrote on Twitter after the meeting.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS), did not deny that his country's relations with Israel were getting closer.

"We have the same vision, historic peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia, a move to end the Arab-Israeli conflict, and build harmony between the Islamic world and the Jewish state," PM Netanyahu wrote on Twitter.

"Every day we get closer," Prince MBS told Fox News.

However, the Prince of MBS still stressed the importance of resolving Palestinian problems, if Israel wants to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia.

"For us, the Palestinian issue is very important. We need to resolve that part," he explained, when asked what was needed to obtain the normalization agreement.

"And we have a good negotiation strategy to date," said Prince MBS.

"We have to see where we are going. We hope this will reach a point that will facilitate the lives of the Palestinian people and make Israel a player in the Middle East," Prince MBS said.

It is known that establishing a relationship with Saudi Arabia will be a major prize for Israel, and can change Middle Eastern geopolitical.
