Vocational High School Students Involved In Robbery In Tambora, 8 People Arrested

JAKARTA - A total of 8 vocational school students from 18 people were arrested by members of the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The perpetrators were arrested for recklessly extorting a vocational school student from the Djakarta Christian School Association (PSKD) with the initials ARA (15).

The arrests of the perpetrators were made after the victim's father, Andi, reported the robbery incident.

The victim was robbed on Jalan Banden Utara, RT 01/10, Pekojan Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta. The robbery was also caught on CCTV.

"The total number of perpetrators is 8 people. The perpetrators are students in grade 2 SMK Bhara Trikora in the Grogol Petamburan area, West Jakarta," said Tambora Police Chief, Kompol Putra Pratama when confirmed by VOI, Friday, September 22.

The eight perpetrators arrested had the initials ARN (17), AB (17), PI (17), AP (16), BL (17), GSP (16), PA (16) and BPM (17).

"Three other perpetrators with the initials MRH alias Tukul, A and B are still at large. The suspect MRH is the head of the genk," he said.

The perpetrators named themselves the Bathrix Putra gangster. From the confessions of the perpetrators, they initially had no intention of committing a criminal act of robbery but wanted to find an enemy for a brawl.

"However, because the victim's motorbike and cellphone fell when they attacked the victim, the victim's motorbike and cellphone were immediately taken. Then the motorbike will be sold online by the perpetrators worth 1 million. The plan for the money from the sale for their group," he said.

Meanwhile, based on the confessions of the perpetrators, this is the first time they have carried out a motorcycle robbery. To account for their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code and Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 9 years in prison.

"Eight of these perpetrators were detained in a special room for children at the Tambora Police," he said.
