Gorontalo Governor Ensures Government Services At Pohuwato Pascapembakaran, Regent's Office Is Normal

Gorontalo Governor Ismail Pakaya ensures that local government services in Pohuwato Regency continue to run normally.

"After the riots that led to the burning of the regent's office, we ensure that the running of local government, including public services in this district, continues to run normally," said Ismail Pakaya, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 21.

He said he had asked the Regent of Pohuwato to continue to provide services to the community as usual. Although the regent's office, which is the center of government services in Pohuwato Regency, has been burned and cannot be used.

He advised the regent to immediately look for other alternative buildings that could be occupied temporarily.

"Even though it is disturbed, it does not overall interfere with the implementation of services to the community," he said.

According to him, if, for example, there are obstacles in service, his party, in this case the Gorontalo Provincial Government, is ready to support regents and local government officials in Pohuwato, to carry out these services.

"Tonight until tomorrow I am with the Kapolda, Pak Danrem 133 Nani Wartabone, still with the community to ensure order and security in Marisa, Pohuwato Regency," said the Governor.

The Gorontalo Police and Pohuwato Police are also collecting data on vital objects that were damaged and burned by the masses, along with the total losses suffered after the riots.

"Even though I actually have other important events, this is more important, so I have to stay here together with the Kapolda and Danrem," he added.
