JAKARTA - The North Jakarta City Government has again visited a number of residents of the former Kampung Bayam who are still surviving in the tent they have built near the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) fence. Lurah Papanggo, Tomi Haryono noted that there are still around 10 families who are still staying in the tent and want them to be allowed to inhabit the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) next to JIS. Currently, residents of the former JIS development eviction have not been able to occupy the residence. The DKI Provincial Government has long asked them to be relocated in a simple rented flat owned by the DKI Provincial Government. "We hope they want to be relocated. Please choose which flats are in North Jakarta," said Tomi to reporters, Thursday, September 21. KSB was inaugurated by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in October 2022. However, residents of former Kampung Bayam have not been able to inhabit KSB because they are not footballed with the amount of rental rates pegged by the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the manager.Jakpro offers KSB rentals at public rates, while residents want cheaper programmed rates. Therefore, as a temporary solution, the government offers that they inhabit other flats in the North Jakarta area. Tomi emphasized that they are ready to help residents move the goods and tents they establish. According to Tomi, since some time ago his party had repeatedly met and had a dialogue with residents. "We have offered, while waiting for their certainty they can stay temporarily in the flats in other regions," he explained. The U-17 World Cup itself is scheduled to take place in four stadiums in Indonesia, namely Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium Bandung, Manahan Stadium Solo, and Gelora Gelo Gelo Stadium Surabaya starting November 10 to December 2, 2023.

JIS will be used as a venue for Group C (Brazil, England, Iran, New Caledonia) and E (France, South Korea, United States, Burkina Faso) matches. In addition to group stage, JIS will also be used for two major 16 matches and two quarter-final matches. Therefore, the Indonesian chance to play at this venue is open if it can go to the knockout round.
