DPRD Asks DKI Provincial Government To Pay Off Lacks Of PJLP Wages

JAKARTA - Commission A of the DKI DPRD urged the DKI Jakarta provincial government to pay off the lack of wages for Other Individual Service Providers (PJLP) after the 2023 Revised APBD was passed.

"Commission A recommends the DKI Provincial Government to immediately realize the salary increase for other service workers which has been delayed for a long time," said Secretary of Commission A of the DKI DPRD Karyatin Subiyantoro as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.

Karyatin representing Commission A in the government sector in recommending the DKI Provincial Government to immediately pay the remaining wages of Other Individual Service Providers (PJLP) according to Governor's Decree Number 1153 of 2022 concerning the Provincial Minimum Wage of 2023.

"As we know, the increase in PJLP salaries is the commitment of the DKI Provincial Government in accordance with the governor's decision number 1153 of 2022 concerning the Provincial Minimum Wage signed by the Acting Governor of Rp. 4,901,798 in December 2022," he said.

The recommendations submitted were the result of the discussion of the Commissions with the SKPD of partners and deepening the DPRD Budget Agency with the DKI Jakarta Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD), until the amount of changes to the DKI Regional Budget in 2023 was agreed to be IDR 79.5 trillion.

Previously, the Head of Banggar DPRD DKI Jakarta, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, said that after the commission submitted recommendations and the final research was carried out, the Raperda would be ratified as a Regional Regulation at the Plenary Meeting on Tuesday (26/9).

"According to the results of the Deliberative Body (Bamus) meeting which was held on September 8, 2023, it was agreed that the implementation of the request for approval from the DKI Jakarta DPRD with the Acting Governor (Pj) regarding the Raperda regarding changes to the APBD for the 2023 budget year will be held in a plenary meeting of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD on September 26, 2023," he said.

On the same occasion, the Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta TAPD, Joko Agus Setyono, said that his party would immediately input the adjustment of the activity expenditure component account code that had been agreed upon.

"Then after this, an input on budget adjustments will be carried out based on the minutes of the discussion of the Banggar DPRD and Rapimgab meetings including adjusting the account code, adjusting the analysis of spending standards and adjusting activity indicators," said Joko.

Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono promised to equalize PJLP salaries in the capital city according to the 2023 UMP.

"Yes, we will adjust it later (PJLP salary)," said Heru when asked about PJLP salaries who are still participating in the 2022 UMP in Kuningan Timur Village, South Jakarta.

Heru said that the PJLP wage would be increased in accordance with the 2023 DKI Jakarta UMP, which was IDR 4.9 million.

"Yes, later in accordance with the 2023 UMP, yes, according to the UMP," said Heru.
