Officers Are Stilljibaku Putting Out Hotspots On Mount Mungal In The Bromo Tengger Semeru Area

The team of officers is focusing on extinguishing the remaining hotspots around Mount Mungal in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area in East Java.

The TNBTS area is located in Malang Regency, Pasuruan Regency, Probolinggo Regency, and Lumajang Regency. Mungal Mountain is located in the Tosari District, Pasuruan Regency. The fire that hit the Watangan Valley Blok or Teletubbies Hill on September 6, 2023 spread to Mount Mungal. According to him, currently the team of officers is still trying to extinguish the hotspots on Mount Mungal and prevent fires from spreading. "We are still controlling it so as not to spread. The fire that is now (Mungal Monument) is a continuation of the fire in Teletubbies Hill which continues to spread," he said. Land fires in Teletu Trabbies Hill have been reported to have been successfully extinguished.

Kebakaran lahan yang terjadi di kawasan Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semerusejak 6 September 2023 disebabkan oleh ulah pengunjung yang menggunakan suar untuk keperluan pengambilan gambar.Ratusan petugas sudah dikerahkan untuk memadamkan api yang meliputi lahan di kawasan taman nasional tersebut.Badan Nasional Penanganan Bencana membantu pelaksanaan operasi pengeboman air menggunakan helikopter guna memadamkan kebakaran di kawasan Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru.
